2018 No Bunting

After joining the Bay City Rollers in November 1973, the band, with

Les McKeown on lead vocals, shot to superstardom. "Remember", the Bay City Rollers' first single with Les McKeown's vocals, shot up the UK charts to No. 6 and was quickly followed by "Shang-A-Lang", "Summerlove Sensation" and "All Of Me Loves All Of You" all hitting the Top Five. "Bye Bye Baby" was their first UK Number One in May 1975 followed by "Give A Little Love" in July. Their first US single, "Saturday Night", went straight to the top number 1 spot of the Billboard charts, and their first British album, "Rollin'" was the first debut album to top the number 1 position in the charts.

The BCR released many more Top 10 songs over the next two years including "I Only Wanna Be With You", and "You Made Me Believe In Magic". Between 1975 - 1978, they toured all over the world and played to sold out crowds in the USA, Japan, Great Britain, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

After leaving the Bay City Rollers in 1978, it was 1982 when Les McKeown reunited the band for sold out shows at Tokyo's famous Budokan. It was such a huge success they toured again in 1983. They performed together again at the Edinburgh Millennium concert festival on New Year's Eve in 1999. Since then the new members Si Mulvey, Alex Toff, Phil Hendriks and Scott McGowan, have given the band a new energy and excitement performing in sold out Arena's in the UK and Canada, Japan and Australia.  We are seriously excited to welcome Les & the Band to Shildonbury.

The Revolutionaires power out jumpin’ hot rhythm & blues in their own indomitable hard hitting style.

Primarily, they are influenced by 1940’s and 1950’s R&B. In particular, Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Roy Brown. However, they have adopted a harder and more aggressive approach, synonymous with modern blues artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Duke Robillard, Jools Holland and Mike Henderson which helps create their own high energy sound.

Over the last decade The Revolutionaires have established themselves on the UK and European Rockin’ circuit, as well as the Blues scene. We have tried for three years to book these lads, and they were always busy in Europe. When you see them, you will understand why!!

Horn driven, soulful rhythm'n'blues band

playing classic recordings from the Atlantic and Stax Record labels, including tracks by Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett and Al Green. Featuring the deep, rich tones of vocalist Neil Hunter, prepare for a wall of soul sound.

Smokin' Spitfires

The first ever 80's tribute band in the UK in 1998, this band were the trailblazers of what evolved to be an "often copied never bettered" long line of tribute bands. Uncanny accuracies created by this all live band ensured that they worked throughout the UK solidly for 7 years. They have reformed especially for Shildonbury 2018 to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Expect classics from the likes of Spandau Ballet, Wet Wet Wet, Nik Kershaw, Deacon Blue, Aztec Camera and more.

Since arriving on the tribute scene Slade UK have left fans open mouthed with the

accuracy of their show. Once thought impossible, Slade UK recreate the experience of a real Slade show with all the power of the original band. Once seen, never forgotten. Relive a time when Noddy and the lads were the best live rock & roll band in the world.

Highlights so far include being chosen to open for the legendary Roy Wood of Wizzard on his 2013 Christmas tour, appearing on the main stage of Tribfest 2014 (& again in 2016), performing at Wannasee in Penrith, meeting Don Powell and finding out Mr Noddy Holder himself approves.
